This week I read Starter Zone Survivor by Brock Senna.

Wow, if you like a LitRPG with action, this is the book for you.

It is a super intense tactical battle almost non-stop.

I found it beautifully written with a new and interesting take on a LitRPG world.

I'm looking forward to seeing where the character goes when they aren't in a constant battle. If that ever happens.

Great for any action fan!

This week I've been reading Lost Souls by Noah Chinn.

This is a wonderful sci-fi novel in a post Earth universe. It has great world building and enjoyable characters.

Highly recommended!

This week I read Elvenbane by Mercedes Lackey.

This is a classic fantasy from the long long ago of 1991.

It was my first time reading this series and I really enjoyed it. I think it is truly wonderful that one can still find classic novels of this quality that you have never seen before. There is always more out there to read!

Mercedes Lackey has been on my radar for a long time, but I was surprised to learn that I hadn't actually got around to reading any of her works until now. This is a...

This week I read Operation Bounce House by Matt Dinniman.

I've read Dungeon Crawler Carl several times, so I was quite excited to read something new by Dinniman.

This book was much more of a traditional sci-fi story, but it still had Dinniman's unique brand of humour throughout. If you enjoyed Dungeon Crawler Carl, you will like this one as well.

The book focuses on a distant planet where settlers from Earth are just becoming reconnected to their home planet for the first time after a journey...

This week I read 1% Lifesteal by Robert Blaise.

I have a real soft spot for LitRPG, and this was a truly enjoyable one.

One aspect I really appreciated was the pacing. It really felt like a good example of how a person would deal with becoming powerful after living a life at the mercy of others.

The author manages to present a realistic character who is trying to navigate a new and dangerous existence. The world is interesting, and there is a lot of room for development. I look forward to...

This week I read Death on the Caldera by Emily Paxton.

I had the pleasure of meeting Emily at a book signing at my local Chapters.

Her debut novel was a truly pleasant read and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a mix of mystery and magic.

The setting was a wonderful blend of the 1950s, old style aristocracy, and magic. It all came together in a very engaging way. The characters were real and likeable, and the magic systems were unique and interesting. I think it is a novel that would...

I'm not planning on having status updates this often, but something that felt significant actually happened.

My ISBN account was successfully created. I can now assign ISBNs to my works.

Is this what true power feels like?

I think it is.

Well, I continue to work on finishing off my current read through of the Cradle series by Will Wight. I am definitely in the home stretch, but it has been a great read from beginning to end.

My second source of procrastination has been the game Absolum. It is a nice little roguelite with a good story and wonderful art. I played it on the Switch, but I would prbably recommend trying it on a different platform, as there were definite slow down issues. Otherwise, it was a really enjoyable game....

Hello beloved cultists!

I am currently editing my fist two novels in The Cult of Namos series. They are my first books, so I am taking my time.

I am also reaching out to publishers and literary agents, but that is a slow process.

Once the editing is done, I will start looking for someone to do my cover art. Please look forward to a cover reveal for my first book in the near future.

I am editing two novels at once, because once I finished the first novel it really took me a lot of time to get an...

This week I am finishing off the Cradle series by Will Wight.

I am just starting book 12, so it has been quite the journey.

This is the second time I've read this delightful series. It is one of my favourite LitRPG series, as it has a wonderful arc with a proper ending. Often for other LitRPGs, I find they just kind of wander around without really going anywhere.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone interested, and I look forward to future works from this author.

While a blog does strike me as quite retro at this point in time, I do see the utility of it for allowing me to expand on my social media posts. Please check back here, from time to time, to see some updates about my writing, as well as brief explanations for the books, games, and other media that are chiefly responsible for delaying my work that week.
