This week I read Elvenbane by Mercedes Lackey.

This is a classic fantasy from the long long ago of 1991.

It was my first time reading this series and I really enjoyed it. I think it is truly wonderful that one can still find classic novels of this quality that you have never seen before. There is always more out there to read!

Mercedes Lackey has been on my radar for a long time, but I was surprised to learn that I hadn't actually got around to reading any of her works until now. This is a really great example of a classic dragons, sorcery, and swords adventure. Really great world building and enjoyable characters. It is almost refreshing to get to experience a classic fantasy for the first time in 2026.

If anyone is interested in the scenery of this photo without the book cover. Here you go!
