What delayed my writing this week?

Well, I continue to work on finishing off my current read through of the Cradle series by Will Wight. I am definitely in the home stretch, but it has been a great read from beginning to end.

My second source of procrastination has been the game Absolum. It is a nice little roguelite with a good story and wonderful art. I played it on the Switch, but I would prbably recommend trying it on a different platform, as there were definite slow down issues. Otherwise, it was a really enjoyable game. The combat wasn't the best fit for me, meaning I wasn't great at it, but I still managed to get through the game several times. I'm not so in love with it that I feel the need to finish absolutely every bit of it, so I will likely need to find something new to fill up the time that I should be devoting to my next novel.

Writing Status Update

Hello beloved cultists!

I am currently editing my fist two novels in The Cult of Namos series. They are my first books, so I am taking my time.

I am also reaching out to publishers and literary agents, but that is a slow process.

Once the editing is done, I will start looking for someone to do my cover art. Please look forward to a cover reveal for my first book in the near future.

I am editing two novels at once, because once I finished the first novel it really took me a lot of time to get an understanding of what to do next. I was quite slow and cautious with reaching out to publishers and agents at first. Since I was done the first few editing pass throughs of my first book, I didn't want to just sit around, so I started writing the second. Low and behold, writing was easier than trying to force my foot through the door of the publishing industry. Now I have two novels nearly ready for release.

Since my efforts to secure an agent or a publishing deal have not met with instant success, I have taken a course on self publishing offered by the Federation of BC writers. It was very informative and I highly recommend it. My current plan is to make one last round of attempts to connect to publishers and agents, and when that doesn't pan out, it will be full steam ahead with self publishing.

Cradle by Will Wight

This week I am finishing off the Cradle series by Will Wight.

I am just starting book 12, so it has been quite the journey.

This is the second time I've read this delightful series. It is one of my favourite LitRPG series, as it has a wonderful arc with a proper ending. Often for other LitRPGs, I find they just kind of wander around without really going anywhere.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone interested, and I look forward to future works from this author.
