What delayed my writing this week?

This week I read Death on the Caldera by Emily Paxton.

I had the pleasure of meeting Emily at a book signing at my local Chapters.

Her debut novel was a truly pleasant read and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a mix of mystery and magic.

The setting was a wonderful blend of the 1950s, old style aristocracy, and magic. It all came together in a very engaging way. The characters were real and likeable, and the magic systems were unique and interesting. I think it is a novel that would appeal to a wide range of readers interests.

Emily challenged me during the signing to try and figure out "who donnit". However, the joke is on her, as my brain does not work that way and I lack any capacity in that area.

Anyways, that's it for this week.

Thank you and may Namos shine down on you!
