Book #1 from the series: The Cult of Namos

The Epic of Namos

About

Meet Fred. He’s confident, completely clueless, and on a journey to... somewhere.

Nobody knows the way, least of all Fred, whose grand quest involves stumbling headfirst into magic, monsters, and monumental bad decisions. Along the way, he manages to become entangled with a deeply unpleasant wizard, blunder through a offensively hostile dungeon, and force his help on a poor isolated village under siege.

Hot on his heels are four city watchmen who are having the worst week of their careers. They are led by Kortz, a theoretically sharp investigator who is fantastically uninterested and exhausted by his city's perversion of justice. Tagging along are Gregs, Darte, and Namos (who is... trying his best), none of whom have the slightest idea why they are chasing a total moron across the countryside instead of doing their actual jobs.

Fortunately for the burnt-out lawman and his three confused subordinates, Fred’s only chance of escape is relying on sheer, unadulterated luck and wearing flatteringly curve-hugging leather pants.
